At Toronto's Fashion Week, the Canadian Centre for Gender & Sexual Diversity (CCGSD) presented the world with the "first gay sweater" --- a sweater knit from the donated hair of more than 100 LGBT people.

Saatchi & Saatchi Canada was behind the stunt to highlight awareness of the detrimental effects that such misuse of the word "gay" has on LGBT youth. Along with the sweater, a short online film, shows young people who have been impacted by the derogatory use of the word "gay" and showcases the process that went into creating the sweater. While we're not sure that the hair and the message necessarily go together, it's certainly a way of grabbing headlines.
