PNC's annual Christmas Price Index is back, as usual calculating the cost of buying all the items mentioned in the "12 Days of Christmas" carol. This year, buying all those rings, partridges, turtle doves and so on will cost you a whopping $24,263, up from $823 last year.

To visualize all the data, Deutsch has created the Christmas Price Index Express, a fun website that that uses a train to carry you through and collect all the 12 items. While travelling, you stop at the various gifts, figuring out how much they cost, using inflation and currency fluctuation data. The video was made using stop motion and live action with a layer of interactivity.
