In this new Coca-Cola ad that debuted during the Academy Awards ceremony, a bottle of Coke gets passed from hand to hand as various people in a beach community look to make life a little better for their neighbors.

The "Generous World" ad begins at a concession stand, where a man purchases the Coke bottle. As he's about to take a sip, a cacophonous twang alerts him that a woman playing her guitar just lost one of her strings. To make her feel better, he offers her his soda. Just as she's about to take a taste, an even worse fate befalls another . . .and so on and so on. So much so that you wonder, by the end, if the Coke has gotten warm, lost its fizz and if anyone's ever going to end up drinking it.
