Kids can create their own critters -- and learn at the same time with this new app
designed by Clement Mok. The app, available for iPads and iPhones
, lets you mix two animals together to create your own critter. It also lets you play match-a-roo, a memory game designed to teach kids about exotic and domestic animals. There's also plenty of realistic, animal sound to accompany the fun.
This is the first in a long line of kid-friendly educational apps designed using CMCD's visual symbols library. CMCD, which was founded by Mok almost 20 years ago, aims to create thousands of high-quality, iconic images and then make them available for use for publishing. The images used to be available on CD-ROM initially -- but this app is the first to make use of CMCD's new line of images that have been specially created for use on digital devices.
