Kids can create their own critters -- and learn at the same time with this new app designed by Clement Mok. The app, available for iPads and iPhones, lets you mix two animals together to create your own critter. It also lets you play match-a-roo, a memory game designed to teach kids about exotic and domestic animals. There's also plenty of realistic, animal sound to accompany the fun.

This is the first in a long line of kid-friendly educational apps designed using CMCD's visual symbols library. CMCD, which was founded by Mok almost 20 years ago, aims to create thousands of high-quality, iconic images and then make them available for use for publishing. The images used to be available on CD-ROM initially -- but this app is the first to make use of CMCD's new line of images that have been specially created for use on digital devices.
