Kiefer Sutherland's not one to shy from a commercials. He recently appeared as a kind of touchy feely stud in a commercial for Axe out of BBH and has done voiceovers for Apple, among others. Today, in a new blockbuster spot for Acer, out of Mother London and directed by Stink's Ivan Zacharias, he reprises his action star role in a new adventure--baking cupcakes.

In Jack Bauer style, he takes a task typically confined to bakeries and home kitchens into the world of high octane explosives, with the help of an Acer Ultrabook. According to Acer Global Marketing Director Martin Schellekens in a statement, the point is to show how the brand's S5 Ultrabook helps its users "explore a different side of themselves." The campaign will include more characters going "beyond their limits."

The spot broke today in the U.K., France, Russia and Germany online and in cinema. Coincidentally, it parallels the move of another tech brand, Samsung, which today also released another celebrity vehicle starring James Franco, who shows off the multitasking abilities of the brand's Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet.
