Barton F. Graf 9000 and Tomcat have come up with an idea for making rodent control memorable -- and it's surreal. While perhaps not for the die-hard animal lover (fans of cute little mice, look away now), the ads play on the question of what to do with all those dead critters you've ended up with when your mouse bait is so effective. It's obvious -- Dead Mouse Theater. Combine that idea with a top-class director -- Ringan Ledwidge of Rattling Stick -- and you get some excellent puppet action from the rodent stiffs.
The Tomcat brand was acquired by Scotts Miracle-Gro in the Fall of 2013 and this is its first marketing campaign since. The agency created two other theatrical spots -- one tells the tale of of a city mouse, while the other gets a little Celtic and musical too.
