The centennial birthday bash ends with an arctic surprise.

One of the brands that delighted us most in 2012 was Oreo. The black and white sandwich cookie made us smile on a daily basis with The Daily Twist campaign, and now, to cap off its 100th birthday celebration, it brought some cookie love to where you'd least expect it--Antarctica.
Oreo, its PR firm Weber Shandwick and one very happy-looking mascot, surprised scientists at Palmer Station in the Antarctic Peninsula with a special package of 5,000 Oreo cookies. Turns out, they were also celebrating another big milestone, the 100th anniversary of people setting foot on the South Pole. Along with the cookie donation, the brand also donated Antarctica's first solar-powered Penguin Cam to the Palmer Station scientists.
