French television studio Canal+ Group is really into its religious imagery of late. After the cinema channel's deviant take on the Nativity -- right in time for Christmas -- it now takes viewers to church, this time with the help of Buzzman.
A priest is given the difficult task of bearing earth-shattering news. Fortunately, he and his altar boy have the foresight of rolling in a suitable distraction -- Canal comedie, the television distributor's comedy channel. "Vous deprimerez plus tard," it promises. (You can be depressed later.)
The tagline reappears in the campaign's two other spots-- "Dog" where humor is helps a little girl cope and "Doctor," where laughter actually is the best medicine.
