Workaholics, This Prank Might Make You Really Depressed
Stunt From Mexico Tourism Board Will Make You Regret Not Taking Your PTOs
Editor's Pick
Americans aren't known to be the best vacationers, so this funny/sad stunt from the Mexico Tourism Board sets out ot help them change their ways -- by sending their doppelgangers to have fun in their place.
Along with its agency Lapiz, Chicago, the Mexico Tourism Board found a pair of workaholics, Mike and Ann, and two people who looked just like them. The twins paid Mike and Ann a visit and showed them some beautiful, but kind of disheartening films -- they depicted their doubles floating through Mexico's tranquil waters, leaping into natural blue pools, climbing Mayan pyramids and more.
Seeing the regret on the over-workers' faces, it feels like the meanest joke ever, until the poseurs present the "real" people a free trip to enjoy Mexico for themselves. We're hoping they take them up on the offer and not lose the vouchers under that pile of papers on their desks.
The campaign debuted online this week and can be followed at #SeeYouinMexico.
