Dos Equis : Dos-a-Rita Infographic/Dos-a-Rita Hi-res Image
Apr 15, 2014
Last year, Dos Equis' Most Interesting Man in the World started a movement to move Cinco de Mayo to the second of May, or "Dos de Mayo." Why? Well, for one thing, obviously, "Dos" jibes better with the beer's brand name, but also, last year, Cinco de Mayo happened to fall on a Sunday, which doesn't make for the best time to drink your brains out. This year, the Mexican Independence holiday falls on even a worse day, Monday, so the Most Interesting Man continues his push for "Dos" (this time, Friday) in 2014. The new campaign is also tied into Dos Equis' launch of a new beverage it hopes drinkers will enjoy on that day, the Dos-a-Rita, a ready-to-serve beer margarita made with 100 percent agave nectar and Dos Equis beer. Check out more about it in the campaign infographic.
