Take a Thrilling Journey Into the Heart of Ghana in Smirnoff's Edgy New Film
Martin Krejci Directs Spot Supporting African Launch of Ice Double Black
Sep 30, 2014
Diageo-owned Smirnoff takes us right into the vibrant heart of Ghana in this film from 72andSunny Amsterdam, created to launch its Ice Double Black and Ice Double Black Guarana products in Africa. The drink is a blend of vodka and citrus soda. Filmed by director Martin Krejci of Stink (Lurpak's "Kitchen Odyssey") on the streets of Ghana's capital city Accra, it's set to the pulsating beat of a great choice of original soundtrack, "We Don't Care" by Audio Bullys, as we follow several stylish young African men to the city's haunts, including clubs, markets and a boxing ring. According to the agency, it's intended to capture the "spirit of young Africa."
The Ice Double Black film will run in Cameroon and Ghana with other films for Ice Double Black Guarana running across Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda and Angola. The brand will launch in other markets in January 2015.
