Last week, actor Ed Norton appeared in a mysterious film tagged with the simple title #48 hours. It showed him fleeing in the woods from a mysterious stalker -- unsuccessfully, since he ends up getting thrown in the trunk of the car. Later, Verizon emerged as the brand behind the effort when it debuted on Black Friday a longer film teasing out the story, part of the brand's holiday push promoting the Droid Maxx phone.

In the second film, Mr. Norton recounts the events of the previous 48 hours, Hangover style. In that time, he hooks up with a hottie, partakes in a karaoke showdown, flies a plane, gets hogtied and engages in an underworld version of Connect 4 -- supported throughout by his Droid phone with 48-hour battery life. The campaign was created out of McGarry Bowen and directed by MJZ's Matthijs Van Heijningen.
