'Choose the Next Driver Wisely': See Audi's Action-Packed Debate Ad
Ringan Ledwidge Directs Spot Filled With Political References

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump won't be the only man and woman dueling on TV on Monday night. Audi is seizing on the highly anticipated presidential debate by running a new ad showing two hotel valets battling to get behind the wheel of an Audi RS 7.
The spot, by Venables Bell & Partners, will air during coverage of all of the three presidential debates, across major networks covering the showdowns.
The spot is filled with political references and plays out in reverse chronological order. It ends by stating: "Beautiful things are worth fighting for. Choose the next driver wisely."
The automaker is joining other brands, including Tecate, in releasing politically themed ads in an effort to capitalize on the intense interest in Monday's debate. Experts predict 80 million people or more will be tuning in. But brands must buy time before and after the debate because the debate itself is commercial-free.
Audi's spot is directed by Ringan Ledwidge. "The commercial is the ultimate metaphorical showdown, with an abundance of cultural and political references woven throughout," according to a statement from an Audi spokeswoman.
