IBM's Watson is playing a new game -- Fantasy Football. Known for helping everyone from businesses to chess pros to Jeopardy players level up their performance, the cognitive computing system has partnered with analytics platform Edge Up Sports to keep Fantasy Football players at their prime when managing their teams.

As an IBM Watson Ecosystem Partner, Edge Up is developing an app that leverages Watson's cognitive power to analyzing data relevant to Fantasy teams. It will pull from news stories, analyst reports, weather forecasts and social media to provide core insights on NFL players' mental and physical being. Managers will get answers to questions like how well a team plays on grass vs. turf, how a recent hit will impact a player's performance given his injury history and how emotionally prepared a team is for a game against a big rival.

Edge Up Sports released the film here to promote its Kickstarter campaign, through which it hopes to raise $35,000. With 26 days to go, it's almost reached its target in just a couple days with more than $23,000 in promised funding.
