Calling all previous Effie award-winning brands: it's time to throw your hats back in the ring.
The organization is set to pick its "Top 5 for 50" next year, rewarding the five most effective brands over the past 50 years, to celebrate the organization's five-decade jubilee.
It's opened its all for entries with a campaign by McCann that pays homage to some past winners (and presumably, potential contenders for the top five). The digital ads incorporate some of the design elements and taglines of Effie winners including McDonald’s, Mastercard, the California Milk Processor Board, Johnnie Walker, Google and others.
To be eligible for the award, a brand must have won more than one Effie Award over more than one year and be able to demonstrate adaptation and sustained success of the brand over time. Details on how to enter are live on the Effie website, with an entry deadline period of Feb. 6-13.
