A single mom gets a nervous start in dating again in a new Mother's Day ad from eHarmony.

The dating firm worked with Hardline Films on the spot, which manages to delicately convey the awkwardness and hesitancy of getting back out there. The mom looks emotional as she says goodbye to her daughter, and later apologetic as she answers the phone while on her first date (with a guy who looks like he definitely doesn't have kids). Luckily, there's someone more suitable for her next time.

The spot is part of a campaign by eHarmony to address single mothers who may be hesitant about getting back in the dating game -- it includes a list of tips aimed at the 80.6% of single parents in the U.S. who are mothers.

Chase also previously visited this theme in an ad from 2016 that featured a single mom and her teenage son.
