Editor's Pick
Nike added some social media spice to the NBA playoffs with a Twitter ranking tool on its Nike Basketball website measuring the topical currency of players.
Using a data visualization tool called Epic, it measures the number of tweets per hour about a player or a team, placing the players/teams with the most tweets at the top of the rankings. There's also a link for 'kicks' that shows which shoes players were wearing during the games, with the option to 'like' via Facebook or click through to some of the sneakers to buy them.
