Vail Resorts has added photos and social media sharing this year to its EpicMix app, launched last year to track skiers' activities on the mountain. The app, which works by using radio frequency identity (RFID) technology embedded within lift tickets and season passes, and is available at Vail Resorts' six locations: Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly and Northstar.

The new version of the app, which was designed by SapientNitro, allows skiers to have professional photos taken by a Vail Resorts EpicMix photographer on the slopes automatically delivered to their EpicMix account. Skiers can also add their own photos to the account, and there's a 'Mountain Remix' collage tool to showcase their mountain experience. Photos are free, or you can pay to get a high resolution version to print out.
