A bad play gets worse when ESPN's Kenny Mayne flags it for SportsCenter

New campaign from Droga5 turns on-the-field bloopers into mini ads

A failed tackle leaves a football player face down in the mud in ESPN’s latest “SportsCenter” spot from Droga5. Things go from bad to lampooned-in-front-of-millions when an ethereal Kenny Mayne, who anchors the show, makes it clear that this failure will be featured prominently on “SportsCenter” that night, and not in a good way. It’s headed directly to the “Not Top 10.”

The spot is the first in the “That's Gonna Be on SportsCenter” campaign. Droga5 led concept, creative development and direction.

Like the hapless player, real athletes will also be subjected to real-time judgments, with “SportsCenter” graphic appearing during games when a Top 10 or Not Top 10 moment occurs. Themed GIFs will also appear in Giphy’s image library for fans to use.
