Esurance has developed a mobile optimized site, Fuelcaster, that helps consumers save money on gas by predicting whether gas prices will rise or fall. Developed by Deutsch L.A.'s Invention.ist group, Fuelcaster asks users to enter a ZIP Code and will then display a "buy" or "wait" recommendation. It also displays the lowest current prices of up to 10 gas stations in the surrounding area, and users can save a list of their three favorite locations by bookmarking the site.

Deutsch L.A.'s Invention.ist group is the same lab that developed cool, innovative products for popcorn brand Pop Secret, including a dongle that emits the smell of buttered popcorn as you play a game on your phone.
