Sick of soppy Valentine's Day ads already? A new ad from Finland, for optical chain Instrumentarium, might put a smile on your face instead.
Directed by Pete Riski via Directors Guild Helsinki, it promotes a two-for-one glasses offer and features an elderly man who comes home from his optical appointment delighted with his new specs. His wife appears bored and uninterested, glued to her TV, until he surprises her with her own brand new pair. However, the result isn't quite what he was expecting.
For those left a bit sour-faced after that one, check out another love story Riski directed for Extra gum, with a happier ending.
