We're seeing a lot of uplifting tales of love this Valentine's Day, but this one, for U.K.-based charity FitzRoy stands apart from the rest. Continuing in the vein of advertisers like Honey Maid and Ad Council who have proudly celebrated loving relationships of all kinds, this film tells the story of a couple on a first date who face painful discrimination -- not just because they're gay, but also because they both have Down's Syndrome.

The ad, titled "Everyone Needs Love," aims to draw support for FitzRoy's Love4Life initiative, designed to help those with learning disabilities find love and lasting relationships. It was conceived in response to the abuse and harm those with disabilities have encountered when they've sought love through traditional means like online dating services. It provides individuals with date chaperones, a member matching service, meet-up events and workshops around building safe relationships.

Created out of The Eden Stanley Group and directed by MICH out of Unit9, the campaign encourages people to go to the FitzRoy website, where they can donate and support the cause.
