For GQ, photographer Nadav Kander turns his camera on celebrities including Benicio del Toro, Malcolm McDowell, and Ron Perlman, in a series of short films depicting them performing activities which appear deeply menacing but turn out to be nothing more sinister than doing household chores.

The project began as a series of stills, entitled 'Bad Guys', commissioned by GQ to be photographed by Kander. This presented an opportunity to shoot accompanying short films, which will appear on the iPad edition of GQ's June issue. They mark the commercial motion film debut for Kander, whose previous work includes portraits of Barack Obama and David Lynch, and were edited by JD Smyth of Final Cut. The stills appear in the June print edition as well as the iPad version. You can see all the photographs on the right.
