Maybe pizza guys are the new drones? Nissan got Japan's attention by posting ads for drivers to make $845 an hour delivering pizzas. They had to be able to navigate Nissan's X-Trail SUV on rough terrain, and skydive, paddle in white water rapids or bike down a mountain carrying a pizza box.

Working with TBWA/Hakuhodo on the campaign, which was widely covered on TV, in print and online, Nissan put phone booths advertising pizza delivery in remote natural locations. When people called in, staff at local pizza brand Pizza-La got to work, putting the pies into waterproof, thermo-regulating cases that held them intact when flipped over.

The campaign highlighted the X-Trail's ruggedness. But the best part in the video has nothing to do with cars. Watch for that moment when a wakeboarder does an aerial somersault while toting a pizza box.
