ExxonMobil's global campaign "Journeys That Matter" heads to Latin America with a Halloween-themed spot from DDB Colombia. A mother who needs a Halloween costume for her daughter to wear to school drives around, but stores are closed. Stopping at the gas station, she is inspired by a tiny merry-go-round on her key chain, and the helpful station attendant points her in the direction of a nearby amusement park, where she happily buys an armload of pink cotton candy.
The next day she's back in the car, driving her little girl, adorable in an angel costume with enormous fluffy pink wings, to school.
In an earlier European execution called "Sophie's Journey," by Adam & Eve/DDB in London, an older woman drives across Europe to visit a past love. Like "Sugar Wings" from DDB Colombia, the storytelling focus is on where the driver is going, and what happens to her along the way.
