Audi's latest U.S. spot, promoting its 2018 RS 5 Coupe, features an elderly dying man who's ready to leave for the next life -- or so he thinks.
The ad, created by Venables Bell & Partners and directed by Martin de Thurah at Epoch, makes an epic story out of the man's life as he lies on his deathbed surrounded by his family. He looks back on a life well-lived, recalling the Cuban revolution, motorbiking through deserts, exploring a remote jungle, hobnobbing with royalty and seeing the Berlin wall fall-- it's almost as if he's another version of Dos Equis' Most Interesting Man in the World.
"I've squeezed every drop of juice out of this life, and I'm ready for the next one," he reflects. Until, that is, he hears the RS 5 Coupe roaring into his driveway.
