Everyone's favorite Super Bowl fruit is making a big appearance not just in bowls of guacamole, but in a game day ad that explains how the avocado found its way to Mexico.
The ad, for Avocados from Mexico and created out of GSD&M, depicts a funny fictional history from about four billion years ago. Back then, the world's various plants and animals got selected by various nations during the "First Draft Ever." NFL vets Doug Flutie and Jerry Rice make cameos as commentators.
A 30-second version of the spot (:60 featured here) will run during the game. According to the client, this is the first produce commercial to run during the Super Bowl. Read more about it on Adage.com.
