In this year's "week of greatness" campaign from Foot Locker, three super-successful stars poke fun at themselves as they get philosophical on the subject of greatness, all in very different ways.
In an insider reference to his NFL suspension last year in the "Deflategate" scandal, Tom Brady, gets touchy on the subject of unfair punishmens, as he laments the fact that perpetual greatness often leads to excessive scrutiny. The Patriots star gives an impressive acting performance (we're not sure if it's method acting, though.)
Another spot features NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony, who has to defend his achievements as he gets trolled by a couple of guys who have just been to Foot Locker. A third ad stars rapper Ja Rule, in a turn as an Uber driver, ruminating on the fleeting nature of greatness.
All the spots are by BBDO New York. The Brady and Ja Rule ads are directed by Jim Jenkins at O Positive, while Kenny Herzog helmed the Carmelo Anthony spot.
