Ford is illustrating the power of its EVs in a new short film -- but it doesn't actually show any cars.

Instead, the production of the film, entitled |"Mushroom" was entirely powered by electric vehicles.

In a project by BBDO Canada, Chilean American director Danilo Parra filmed the nighttime shoot using  by Ford Electrified Vehicles, including the F-150 Lightning and two E-Transits. To demonstrate how people can use the vehicles' battery power as a portable power supply, they were used to power everything on set from coffee makers to lights, camera batteries and wind machines.

Watch the Behind the Scenes film, below, to find out more about how it was done.

Shot in a remote wooded location, “Mushroom” tells the story of a grizzled old forager who stumbles upon a one-of-a-kind Matsutake mushroom. Unfortunately, a younger, better-equipped forager has also discovered the prize, setting up a showdown between the two men as they wait for the giant mushroom to grow larger before harvesting it.

The full film is running on YouTube as well as on Bell Media’s streaming service Crave.
