Projekroom : Fragile

Urban artist Peter Gibson (a.k.a Roadsworth) and Montreal collective Projekroom collaborated on Fragile, an art installation in Montreal's Eaton Centre that was made entirely out of recyclable materials generated from the shopping centre's daily activities. Covering five floors, it portrayed an ecosystem that included cardboard trees, a plastic waterfall and bubble-wrapped salmon made from shoe boxes. The installation, which opened last June and has just finished, proved a major hit with tourists and with students, and increased the recovery of materials rate at the center by 10%.
