The Evolution of Nike Kicks from 1971 to 2014

It's Kind of Dazzling

Description

Nike Europe recently tapped London-based animation company Golden Wolf to document the evolution of the brand's sneakers from the company's founding in 1971 to today.

In the "Nike Genealogy of Innovation" film, Golden Wolf applied dazzling visual style to the shoe's history, charting various phases of its development over two-minutes. The film starts out with a retro Instagram-style showcase for the "Genesis" stage, (1971 to 1994). It then brings a fun, graphic vibe to the 1995-1998 "Reformation" era, a futuristic look to the "Golden Years" (1999-2002), a light-filled treatment to the "Enlightenment" era from 2003-2006 and an effectsy edge to the 2007-2010 "Renaiissance" stage, gorgeous. The 2011-2013 is then marked by static-filled imagery and finally, the 2014 "Revolution" gets the laser treatment.
