Philips Parallel Lines : The Gift
The complete Parallel Lines
Editor's Pick
DDB London and Philips have rolled out the full Parallel Lines campaign, with all five films like at www.cinema.philips.com.
The campaign is a follow up to the award-winning Carousel and touts Philips TVs with "Ambilight" technology. The theme of the campaign: " "There are millions of ways to tell a story. There's only one way to watch one."
The agency challenged directors from RSA to submit film ideas around a few lines of dialogue. Five directors were chosen and all five films revolve around the same dialogue.
The films include Jake Scott's The Hunt, Johnny Hardstaff's Darkroom, Greg Fay's El Secreto de Mateo, Hi-Sim's Jun & The Hidden Skies and Carl Erik Rinsch's The Gift, shown here.
Since the campaign teaser debuted in late February, viewers could follow Parallel Lines on Facebook, with fans getting additional content like behind the scenes footage, and watch the films on YouTube.
The YouTube channel will also host a CGC component, with aspiring filmmakers challenged to create a sixth Parallel Lines film based on the same dialogue used in the previous five films. Films will be judged by the public and by RSA founder Ridley Scott and the winner gets to work for RSA for a week.
