Is This Really How Gigi Hadid Prepares for the Runway?
Model Shows Off Goofy Side in W Magazine's Parody
Editor's Pick
In this funny parody film promoting W Magazine's September issue, model Gigi Hadid shows how she prepares for the runway -- apparently.
The short film, shot by New York-based director and photographer Steven Brahms, features Hadid practising her trademark strut on a treadmill, as well as crawling like a cheetah in a series of high fashion outfits. But it's her deadpan delivery, as she explains for instance how you have to put left foot in front of right, or else it's "social suicide," that makes this a real gem.
Looks like W is taking a leaf out of sister Conde Nast title Vogue's book; the fashion bible has made a specialty of getting glamorous cover stars to poke fun at themeslves, with videos starring the likes of Sienna Miller, Kate Winslet and Jessica Chastain.
