Rebranding the government? Highlight freedom.

Editor's Pick

Harper's magazine asked four agencies to 'revamp the image of the US government by way of a Super Bowl commercial'. Goodby, Silverstein & Partners decided to add a website.

The Freedom Filter shows a map clearly outlining those countries of the world that allow their citizens free speech, religion and press, and those that are less fortunate. Another section, The Conversation, lets visitors debate topical issues relating to First Amendment rights – such as privacy violations on Facebook, the rights of Westboro Baptist Church and Wikileaks to free speech, and what constitutes obscene pornography.

The hypothetical assignment appears in the February issue of Harper's.
