Grandma's Cookies is trying to connect consumers with the cozy, warm feeling that Grandmas induce -- but with a funny and quirky approach.
In a new campaign for the 100-year-old Frito Lay brand titled "Are You My Grandma?" different scenarios show someone is eating a Grandma's that smells so delicious and looks so homemade that someone else becomes scarily convinced that this person must be their grandmother.
In one spot, seen here, a man asks his colleague in a work break room to sing him a "night night song." (As he leans against her breast, a co-worker walks in and edges out in embarrassment.) Another ad sees a two guys in a carpool convinced that another passengers is their grandma. There's also a little girl who asks a man on a park bench to knit her a sweater, and two kids in a school cafeteria who argue about whether the girl is the boy's grandma.
The ads, set to cheesily nostalgic music, were created by Goodby Silverstein & Partners and directed by Hungry Man's Dave Laden.
