HBO all-stars are banding together to perform a unique rendition of the classic holiday tune "The 12 Days of Christmas" in a fun social campaign promoting the broadcaster's streaming service HBO Now.
Yesterday the brand debuted on social channels a video starring "Game of Thrones" actor Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) "singing" the first day of the carol, with a GoT-themed twist. Today, a second video broke featuring "Entourage" actor Rex Lee. Upcoming films will include stars from "Girls," "The Wire," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "True Blood" and "Veep" and will run through December 18.
The effort advertises 12 Day sof HBONow, a promotion that allows HBO customers to gift their friends and family free streaming access to the pilot episodes of 12 popular HBO shows. For the finale, which will feature "True Blood" actress Kristin Bauer van Straten, fans will have the opportunity to help craft the final day's lyrics via True Blood's Facebook and Twitter accounts.
