Director Keith Schofield is at his finest with this new video for Electric Guest's "The Head I Hold," off the duo's Danger Mouse-produced album "Mondo." The clip stars Electric Guest's Asa Taccone (brother of Schofield's fellow Caviar director Jorma Taccone) as an anxious talent show competitor waiting offstage as he watches fellow performers (including one Donny Deutsch lookalike) pull off what at first looks like typical talent show fodder.
The moves turn out to be totally terrific, however (thanks to some clever editing and in-camera magic). All the while, Taccone's nerves get to him, so he takes off on a way-out Jesus, Mary, Joseph detour. As for where he ends up, you'll just have to watch and find out.
