Will 2014 be the year that we all "Lean In? From P&G's Pantene highlighting gender bias, to Microsoft's Bing, which in this end of 2013 round up ad celebrates some of the most inspirational women of last year, it seems that big corporations are finally flying the flag for feminism in their advertising. Set to the anthem "Brave" by Sara Bareilles, the spot (which broke on January 30) highlights the likes of Malala Yousafzai, Margaret Thatcher, Angela Merkel and Janet Yellen as well as less well-known heroines such as Deb Cohan, who filmed a flash mob dance before her breast cancer surgery and Antoinette Tuff, who talked down a gunman at an Atlanta school. The spot ends by urging us all to be brave in the year to come.
