Created by F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, the spot aims to position the HR-V as revolutionary in its category by juxtaposing it against events from history. Production company Killers and director Claudio Borreli do a fine job of bringing the revolutions to life in sumptuous detail, although the appearance of a CR-V in the middle of all these momentous happenings feels a bit out of place.
Car brands, lately, seem to be aligning themselves with greatness unabashedly. For example, Chrysler, recently debuted this ad featuring unlikely American "royalty," while earlier in the year, Cadillac took a spin on the Oscars alongside overachievers such as Jason Wu, Richard Linklater and Steve Wozniak.
