Amazon is promoting its mobile app in Europe with a humorous campaign centered on the idea that sometimes, random everyday sights can remind you something completely different. Just how weird these connections can be is illustrated by two new spots, created by Lucky Generals and directed by Andy Mcleod of Rattling Stick,

In the spot seen here, a woman doing yoga stares at the rounded butt of a fellow class member and thinks of a roasting turkey -- which reminds her to order a meat thermometer via the Amazon app. In a second ad, a waitress in a coffee shop notices a customer's hooped earrings and stares to the point of rudeness. Next, she's seen using the Amazon app to order curtain hoops.

The ads, which are aimed at illlustrating the speed and spontaneity of the app, are running in the U.K. and Germany, with further executions to follow later in the month.
