Dow -- despite being in a difficult advertising category -- has in recent months produced touching, emotional creative, with 'Train' and 'Bread.' For the Olympics, DraftFCB Chicago continues this trend with an adorable little 'hedge-man' that spends some time in the athletes' village, moving in to his room, practicing some fencing (topiary is particularly good at this sport) and contemplating diving into a pool. While there, he also turns off open taps and expresses dismay at an overzealous gardener, highlighting Dow's commitment to promote a sustainable Games this year, and make sure that the planet's Olympic dream, too, is realized. Skunk's Nacho Gayan directs, with an uplifting track composed and performed by Paul Hogan.
The 60-second spot premiered Tuesday night, debuting during the MLB All-Star Game.
