Magazine, newspaper and OOH ads for a winter clothing drive, sponsored by LaSalle Bank and the Salvation Army, take a light but firm approach to wardrobe maintenance. "This is our version of 'What not to wear,' " says Energy BBDO GCD Miles Turpin, who was apparently quite the inspiration for this campaign. As Turpin points out, "The guys who thought up the ads Pete Noback and Bryan Dixon have identified most of my clothes as donation material." The campaign runs in Michigan and Chicago, abetted by guerrilla street teams that distribute collection bags and collateral promoting the drive.
