How would that chair look in your living room? Now you can find out, via this spec app by three developers at District Nerds which lets you "preview" furniture in the IKEA catalog in their homes.

The app, which was not sanctioned by the Swedish retailer, was built in four weeks, and since its release, has had 35,000 users from over 90 countries. The developers told Creativity that they had used their "iPhone-loving wives" to QA-test the app, and they're billing it as the most useful app ever for women. Other than that characterization, we think IKEA should snap this one up soon, especially in light of their new, 21st-century worthy 2013 catalog.
