Il Palazzo, the first official iPad app from Prada, allows visitors to take a virtual interactive tour inside a Prada-inspired palace where clothes are artfully draped alongside fashion illustrations. Inspired by an initial fashion show, which starred actors such as Gary Oldman, and then a book, the app creates a three-dimensional "Prada World". Prada designs are laid out alongside the illustrations of fashion illustrator Richard Haines, which are on the walls and in frames. Users can click to purchase the products; the app itself is free. It was created by Shiny New TV, the L.A-based studio founded by creative director James Lima, and produced by its Italian partner, Hi Production.
