Johnnie Walker is perhaps best known for its sophisticated advertising films that have featured a cyborg, an extended poetic monologue from actor Robert Carlyle and, more recently, a dancing Jude Law. But now, it's throwing some "Drama" into the mix.

That would be some Johnny Drama. The brand has taken an exuberant turn with this new film starring the lovable, fumble-prone character of "Entourage," to promote a tie-up between the whisky brand and the upcoming film based on the HBO series.

In the film, Johnny "Drama" Chase is Johnnie Walker's new "Striding Man" and makes an embarrasssing appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show, wearing too much makeup and introducing a new selection to the whisky's label lineup.

To Johnnie Walker Red Label, Black Label and Blue Label, he adds "Johnny Drama." Kimmel asks, "Is this a joke?" pointing out that the new offering is spelled with a y, unlike the others.

Turns out, however, that it's all a dream, but Drama wakes up to what could be a bigger surprise.

The Diageo brand tapped the show's creator Doug Ellin to write the script and actor/director Kevin Connolly, who plays Eric "E" Murphy on the show, to direct.

On the show, the Drama character is someone who dreams big, fails spectacularly, but also meets with huge success -- basically, a comedic embodiment of the famous "Keep Walking" tagline, which made him an ideal protagonist for the Johnnie Walker film.

"If someone mapped it, I bet no one had more missteps than Drama," said Mr. Ellin in a statement. "He didn't just wake up in Hollywood with all the cars and money. He had to work for it. It's that reason we chose Drama's storyline for the short film."

"Not only does Johnny drink Johnnie, but so do I," added Mr. Dillon. "Drama claims to be Irish, Chilean and part Japanese. I wouldn't be surprised if he finds a bit of Scottish in his blood as well."
