Virgin Atlantic and Delta are highlighting their partnership in London by opening a pop-up pub serving craft beers from the 230 U.S.destinations they serve.
In a campaign by Figliulo & Partners, the airlines took over The Old Crown Public House in Holborn, gutted it and turned it into "The Joint Venture," featuring Virgin and Delta-themed decor and a beer wall installation. It's open all this week until August 19 and is also hosting themed nights celebrating U.S. culture -- you could still catch Atlanta night on Friday 17 or Boston night on Saturday 18 -- while there was also a pub quiz with flights up for grabs.
Brews on offer will include Ruben's Brew Pilsner from Seattle, New York's Six Point Brewing Sweet Action, SweetWater Brewing 420 Pale Ale from Atlanta, Cigar City Brewing Jai Alai IPA from Miami and Boston's Spencer Brewing Trappist Ale.
Claire Cronin, Senior Vice President, Marketing at Virgin Atlantic commented: "What better way to bring people together than over a beer, or better still, 230 beers! The Joint Venture will bring a taste of the US to London and through the ever-popular US craft beer scene, show the variety of destinations that UK travelers can fly to with Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines."
