Chelsea Peretti and Jordan Peele Fake Their Real Wedding in Campaign for Booking.com
Campaign Enacts a Faux Road to Marriage for Real-Life Engaged Couple
Editor's Pick
Comedians/Actors Chelsea Peretti ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine") and Jordan Peele ("Key & Peele") are getting hitched in real life, but their nuptials will also be playing out fictionally in a new campaign for Booking.com, out of Wieden & Kennedy, Portland.
A pair of humorous spots that debuted Sunday during the American Country Music Awards and the iHeartRadio Music Awards depicts the couple contemplating the ideal locale for their getaway wedding. One ad shows them considering the merits of a yurt getaway versus a beach vacation, while a second spot shows what they may have to endure if they choose the latter.
The campaign will continue to follow their journey to matrimony in the coming months through the summer, with more ads bringing their celebrity friends in to join the fun.
"We loved the idea of blurring fact and fiction," said Ms. Peretti in a statement. "It was fun to create a heightened world based around our real wedding," added Mr. Peele.
