Want to see how fast sickness is spreading? Check out Kazemill, a new social media-powered healthmap McCann Healthcare Worldwide developed for Japanese pharmaceutical company SSP Japan. The map monitors tweets that mention various cold and flu symptoms and applies that data to a map of the country to show how and where sickness is spreading. The orange dots on the map translate to itchy throat, green represents runny nose, purple stands for cough and red indicates fever. For now, the map services Japan but the client has plans to expand it internationally over the next year.
