He's appeared in all sorts of unusual places over the last few years, including videogames, romance novels and wrestling, and now KFC's Colonel Sanders has gone even further and appeared at a college commencement address.

Yes, Colonel Sanders' latest incarnation George Hamilton, playing the Extra Crispy Colonel in full regalia, was the guest speaker last Friday for the 2018 graduates of the Art Institute of Portland. He actually gave a full speech, full of gems on his own education ("All I had was a pencil and the kid next to me, and if he'd applied himself more there's no telling what I could have done") and inspirational words ("Those moments when you screwed up, they are the exams and graded essays of life.")

If he doesn't inspire a few students either to be a chicken salesman, an "actor pretending to be a chicken salesman" or even go into advertising, we don't know what will.
